SPEED AND STRENGTH PROGRAM OVERVIEW 

Our method of training incorporates 3 different modalities; Speed & Agility, Strength, and Recovery. Combining these 3 methods during athletes off season allows them to see steady improvement and avoid training plateaus throughout the training cycle. However, if an athlete is in season there is an emphasis on Strength and Flexibility giving them the best opportunity to play at the top of their game toward the end of the season.

YOUTH SPEED TRAINING

Youth Speed training classes are an hour long and focus on speed, agility, coordination and body weight strength exercises. By teaching youth athletes how to sprint and cut with proper mechanics, athletes will build a strong fundamental foundation. One of the most important keys to the foundation of an athlete that is neglected at all levels is balance & stability. By developing these abilities at a young age, athletes will have better control over their bodies as they progress, increasing the ability to accelerate faster, decelerate faster, change direction quicker, react faster and help decrease the risk of injury. DESIGNED FOR AGES 8-11

ELITE SPEED TRAINING

To be the best you have to train with the best: Our elite program is designed to bring dedicated, disciplined athletes together in an intense training environment. This program is led by Alex Penson and was developed to give athletes the speed, strength power, and attitude it takes to participate in sports beyond the high school level. DESIGNED FOR AGES 11-16

This program will improve:

  • Coordination, Acceleration Techniques, Juking Techniques, Strength, Power, Explosiveness, Endurance, Change of Direction & Cutting Techniques, Relative Body Strength, First Step, Explosiveness, Agility/Quickness, Footwork/Foot Speed, Balance /Stabilization, Injury prevention, Flexibility, and Self -Confidence

PRO SPEED TRAINING

These are the most crucial years for all athletes, the time when an athlete has the greatest opportunity to build strength , power, and speed to stand out in their sport. This is the time to strengthen weaknesses and correct flaws in technique, before the become bad habits that are very hard to change. Maximizing progress while focusing on proper technique helps athletes build skills and prevent injuries.
